Customer Show and Tell

Well...I know you've all been anxiously awaiting a new blog post.  I'm finally getting to it after my vacation and my lousy cold.  I wanted to write something about Bliss Yarns in Brentwood Tennessee, the LYS that I visited when I was away, but I'll do that another time.   So, I'll just get to the show and tell...  I have 5 sticky notes with project notes on it so if I've made a mistake below, please let me know and I'll correct the post.

This is Kathy L's pullover knitted with yarn from recycled denim jeans and her second 3 Sisters Scarf made from the 100% silk Chaiten.  So pretty.

And I'm sorry but there was no note with this but...don't you just love this gorgeous baby sweater and hat with the strawberries?!?!  Please leave a comment if it's yours.

This is Jane's 3 Sisters Scarf made from Ella Rae Lace Merino.  Her first lace project and it's lovely!  Nice job Jane.

Heike took the 3 Sisters Scarf one step further and made a shawl out of it (I know a few of you are doing the same).   It's gorgeous in the Taiyo Sock yarn!

This is Liz C's Clapotis.  She is teaching this class at the shop on Saturday!  Isn't it beautiful!

And Mary Kate again...in her La La's Simple Shawl made out of the Noro  Ayatori.  So beautiful...she was lucky to make it out of the shop with it!

I know, I know. It's been a while since my last post. We've all been a little busy lately working on our Charity Knitting project. Take a look at all the lovely caps that we donated this week to Albany Medical center. Look at the little tiny one way up front. Marie tells me there is a little head just waiting for it at the hospital. Thanks to all that contributed your efforts!

The calf count is up to 10 now in case you are all wondering. My last post was number 1. We're still waiting for number 11, the last calf. Momma cow is getting fat so she'll be along soon.

Let the season begin!

Calving season that is. Look what I found when I got home after our very fun day at the shop! It was just about dark and Kevin wasn't around so I wanted to make sure the calf was alright in case it was born after he left for Conesville. Turns out he knew about the calf and it was up running around this afternoon. Now it's ready for a nap and probably a little "Mama Juice". No word on bull or heifer. We'll have to wait on that one!
