Vacation! (again)

Back from Vacation #2. We went to Ohio to a racing event for Paul. How did it go? Well.......

This is a fuel pump:
First of all, who knew that it would be under the floor of the back-back(it's a station wagon)? I thought it would be where the engine is, but apparently it's closer to the gas tank in the back.

Second of all, he went through THREE of these suckers. One of them we had to drive to Columbus to get. Another, he got from a friend and now has to get him a new one. Needless to say, I'm SURE he would have won his races if he had been able to race.... and he still can't figure out why they were breaking.

I did get another car seat blanket knit in the car on the way there and the way home:

Just needs the crochet edging and blocking. I made this with Berroco Comfort, which I have to say I do not love (I've heard great things about it). I thought it was a little splitty and didn't love how it felt. Maybe it will feel different after I block it.

No knitting while I was there because it was either too hot or I was too tired. But I did read Janet Evanovich's Sizzlin' Sixteen, which was good (as her books always are!).

And we did go here:
... where I had a yummy bbq, onion ring, texas toast cheeseburgery thing. It was yummy but I didn't have room for a Campfire Blast (graham cracker ice cream mixed with chocolate covered marshmallows). Next time.
