Just like that, the warm 60 degree weather is gone and the snow has started. 10:30-ish Saturday morning it was like this:
By 4pm it was like this:
And I won't even talk about today. Ok, yes I will. As we were watching the weather this morning, the weather guy was saying we'd get 4-8" (up here on the hill). Paul went out to measure and we already had about 8" and it was still snowing like crazy. It really is pretty, but driving makes me nervous. Paul drove me to the shop since his truck has 4 wheel drive. Although now, at 2:40pm, it just seems to be raining and the worst is over.
Enough about the weather (it will become commonplace soon anyway - ever notice that the first time it snows, it's always such a huge deal?)... Saturday night Paul and I went to see King Island Christmas at the New York State Theater Institute. It was great! A fun, uplifting Christmas musical. It is playing through 12/18 and is great for kids too. More info here: www.nysti.org I highly recommend the plays and musicals at NYSTI (at Russell Sage College in Troy). We've been to a few and they have all been great.
