Recovery

Whew! It took me a while to recover from Thanksgiving -- lots of visiting with family, eating, playing Uno, eating, playing video games, eating, knitting and eating. We had a great time. I finally finished a mini mochi sock:

And I'm 2/3 of the way through the second one. I love these colors!

It was great to see Paul's brother, sister-in-law and niece from Virginia. We only see them about twice a year. They stopped by the shop on Saturday but I forgot to take a picture! Anita, my sister-in-law, is an advanced beginner knitter and she bought some Lamb's Pride bulky to try a felted bowl and some Noro Kuryeon for hats for Erica and John.

In shop news, the front windows are making their holiday/winter transformation. Pictures to come but suffice it to say that Jana and myself, with the help of Jean (who has experience with window dressing!) are working hard to make it look nice and cheerful. And today I'm working on the class schedule for January/February/March. I hope to have it posted very soon.

Show and Tell:
Here is Annie in her Leaf Hat and Scarf set (she brought in the previously mentioned being-blocked scarf):

These patterns were designed by Deb Anderson (a local knitter, spinner, designer) and are for sale at the shop!

Anne's "Glittens" made with Cascade 220 Superwash:

Very cool! This a free pattern on Ravelry :

And this adorable hat and baby surprise jacket set made by Wilna for Nancy to give to her nephew:

So cute! The Baby Surprise Jacket class is coming up this month if you are interested - it a great sweater, knit all in one piece.
